U.S. Military Medals and Insignia Pride and Patriotism Act

The Department of Defense would be required to buy military medals, badges, ribbons and so forth from producers in the United States. The term ‘United States’ involves any territory or commonwealth of the US, such as Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. One exception to the Department of Defense not buying from the US would be if the item is not produced by any company in this country. H.R. 2856 was referred to the Committee on Armed Services.
