Rural Physician Pipeline Act

A program will be created to give grants for assisting students who are likely to serve as physicians in “underserved rural communities.” The students will be given assistance in obtaining clinical experience in these rural communities. An amount of $40 million will be given from this program in between the years 2010-2013. H.R. 3648 was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
