According to this bill “The term ‘air pollutant’ shall not include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, or sulfur hexafluoride.” H.R. 4396 was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.

By model year 2011, 50 percent of automobiles for sale in the US will be capable of dual fuel (i.e. using gasoline and ethanol). By model year 2013, 90 percent of these vehicles must be dual fueled. A grant program will be created to aid fuel stations to install blender pumps (able to dispense three different blends of gasoline and ethanol). Between the years 2010 and 2014, $1 billion will be appropriated for grants to fulfill this bill. S. 1627 was referred to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
