The Attorney General will create “grant programs to award grants to State, tribal, and local courts to establish probation programs that reduce drug use, crime, and recidivism by requiring swift, predictable, and graduated sanctions for noncompliance with the conditions of probation…” A total amount of $100 million will be given to the Attorney General to use for this program between the years 2010-2014. Perkins Loan Funding (Sec. 462A):
The amount of $6 billion will be given in available loans for the years 2010-2011.
Modernization (Sec. 311-314, 321-323, & 331-335):
For the years 2010-2011, $2.02 billion will be appropriated to various institutions for the modernization of the buildings. The school must use American made steel, iron, and manufactured goods.
Quality Pathway Grants (Sec. 403):
This is an early learning grant program for the following age groups: infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This program will be targeted toward those living in rural areas who have limited English and developmental delays.
