Compared to some countries, the education of the US is lagging behind in math and science. Due to each state having its own academic standards, it becomes difficult to gauge how well students are doing in one state compared to other states. For example, states with lower standards in education may look as if they are doing better than states with higher educational standards. This bill brings forth the the attempt to unify the educational system through voluntary American education content standards, along with $611 million. Processing the DNA samples of child sex offenders in a faster manner is what this bill proposes. Private forensic laboratories will be used to help those states who wish to participate. You may request this opinion if medical testing is conflicting, you question a treatment plan, a surgical procedure, or believe a condition threatens your life or quality of life. Requiring the Transportation Security Administration to deny the notification of covert testing at airport facilities is the basis of this bill. If TSA employees are alerted for a covert test, then it would not be a test. The basis behind this bill is to make sure the TSA is doing their job correctly. This bill titled the ‘Healthy Families Act’ would require employers to give employees one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. A total of 56 hours may be accumulated, but no more unless the employer allows this. A $100 fine will be imposed upon every offense if the employer wishes to not follow this law.
