Fighting Occupied Cell Use So Everyone Drives More Safely Act

Under this bill, 25 percent of a State’s apportioned funds will be withheld if the State does not enact a law prohibiting the operator (under 21) of a vehicle from using a communication device (cell phone or another type of portable communication device). The funds will be withheld until the State cooperates. H.R. 3829 was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
