Paid Sick Time

This bill titled the ‘Healthy Families Act’ would require employers to give employees one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. A total of 56 hours may be accumulated, but no more unless the employer allows this. A $100 fine will be imposed upon every offense if the employer wishes to not follow this law. H.R. 2460 was referred to the Committee on Education and Labor.
