GM and Chrysler dealers who shut down, due to an order from the Federal government, may request to have their franchise agreement renewed prior to the bankruptcy case of the specific automobile manufacturer. Under this bill, the automobile manufacturer must comply and restore the rights to the automobile dealer. S. 1304 was referred to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
